Agent Scoop stores nothing in your browser until you tap a reaction for the first time.

That first tap mints the scoop_reader cookie, with a localStorage mirror if the cookie is not retained.

This is an opaque per-browser token. Its only job is to keep one answer per response per story.

It identifies a browser, not a person. Clearing site data or using another device gives you a fresh start.

The token expires twelve months after it is minted.

It travels only to reaction endpoints. It is never joined to reader counts or any analytics.

Clearing site data removes it.
